TOTAL MILEAGE FOR 2016 - 2003.6
This morning I set off at 7:00, and had only gotten about 5 minutes into my ride when I heard a rumble of thunder to the north and west. Its direction made me quite sure it was already bypassing us, and at first I was tempted to keep pressing on. But I immediately thought (with some resignation), "Better safe than sorry," and so wheeled around and came back home, having ridden only 1.8 miles in 12 minutes. I will not be able to ride today, as it is the occasion of our big annual Borton reunion ... but that's OK. I can live with a forced day off.
