TOTAL MILEAGE FOR 2016 - 1710.4
This is the 109th anniversary of my Dad's birth (and the 240th of our country)—we look forward to a family gathering at my brother's this afternoon.
Michelle and I had a late night last night, attending the "Salute to America" at Greenfield Village—a concert by the Army Field Band and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and then spectacular fireworks accompanied by live music. We got home well past midnight.
I was up early today (unavoidably), as always—but I managed to crawl back in and get some additional sleep, rather than doing the 6 a.m. ride I had sort of half envisioned. Accordingly, I got started at 9:30, and settled for consecutive round trips to Marsh Park, doing the 18 miles in 2:10. It was 67° when I began, and 74° when I finished.
And today's ride put me over 1700 miles for the year!
