TOTAL MILEAGE FOR 2016 - 1926.7
I was unable to ride the past two days, because of the flat tire Sunday morning, and then a busy day and excessive heat yesterday—so it was a joy to be able to return to it today. This morning, riding on a perfect summer day, I left at just past 7:00 a.m. (64° and sunny) and rode consecutive round trips to Marsh Park, finishing the 18 miles in 1:57 (and it had climbed to 72° by the time I finished). I was very glad for my air horn today, too, having the first real opportunity to use it (several times), for pedestrians up ahead of me. It is so loud, I made sure to sound it when I was still well behind them.
