135th ride of 2015 - Saturday, 10/17/2015

This morning, as a warmup for today's big Michigan/Michigan State football game, I went out at 7:40 and rode consecutive round trips to Marsh Park, turning the 17.5 miles in 1 hour and 52 minutes. I could barely mash my helmet on and fasten it over the hood from my hoodie, but at 30°, I sure needed it! I was glad, too, to find out it is feasible, as it will be absolutely critical when I ride this winter. On that asphalt trail, away from traffic, it seems to me that it should be feasible to ride many days this winter. I will not ride in heavy snowfall, but I can dress for the cold.
